G. Payment Of Study Fees*

  • Regenesys Management offers the following payment options to students for
    academic programmes:

    • Monthly (by compulsory debit order)
    • Per semester
    • Upfront
    • Annual

    • A signed debit order needs to be completed. Should a payment be returned by the bank, the student needs to reimburse Regenesys within 5 (five) days of being informed thereof. Failure to do so will render the student’s studies suspended.
    • Should a monthly debit order be returned by the bank on a second occasion, in addition to reimbursing Regenesys within 5 (five) days, the student’s monthly payment arrangements will be forfeited immediately and the student will then have to pay in advance for each module attended.
    • A returned debit order administration fee will be charged (currently R150 + VAT)
    • An option for an extended monthly payment period is available, subject to approval.
  • If a student elects to pay for each semester, the fee for the semester has to be paid at least 5 (five) days prior to commencement of the semester, failing which, the student will not be allowed to attend class. Should a student attend class, he/she will be liable for fees.
  • In the case of upfront payments, course fees need to be paid prior to commencement and attendance of the course.
  • Should the student elect to take a study loan through a recognised financial institution, Regenesys will facilitate the necessary forms and contact details for a select number of these institutions. However, payment for the respective course needs to be received by Regenesys prior to the commencement of the course.
  • Access to the portal shall be blocked should a student’s fees not be paid as envisaged under point G. a. above.
  • Should any monies due by the student or the signatory/ies under his/her contract with Regenesys not be paid by the due date, the student may be excluded from:
    • Attending further lectures, and/or
    • Submitting assessments (assignments and exams), and/or
    • Accessing the campus and all other facilities, and/or
    • Receiving assessment results, and/or
    • Graduation until such time as all monies due have been paid in full.
    • This is without prejudice to any other rights of Regenesys. Exclusion as set above, will not relieve the signatory/ies of any obligation to pay the contract amount, or any balance then outstanding.
    • Interest will also be levied (currently prime +2%) on any monies due from the due date until payment is received and cleared through the Regenesys’ bank account.
    • All late payments will attract an administrative fee of R300 + VAT. until payment is received and cleared through the Regenesys’ bank account.
    • All late payments will attract an administrative fee of R300 + VAT.
    • The signatory/ies will remain liable for all expenses incurred by Regenesys as a result of any breach of his/her/their part of this contract and acknowledge/s that this may include legal tracing and collection costs.
  • In order for a student to graduate their fees need to be settled in full. No student will be invited to the graduation event until such a time as their account is settled.

H. Revised Fees To Applicable Year’s Rate

Tuition will be charged at fees applicable to the current year’s rate. For delayed, deferred and repeat modules, a top-up fee will be levied per module, to cover the shortfall between originally paid fees and the applicable rate when the student actually does the module. If the student has paid for the full qualification upfront, the top-up fee will only be applicable on studies extending beyond the required minimum qualification period of the course.

Regenesys Business School retains an exclusive and unlimited right to determine any future changes in fees and costs pertaining to its course offerings across all study modes. The student accepts and acknowledges that any such future changes in course offerings across all study modes shall not apply to his/her existing course fees as they shall be exclusively governed by this agreement and the relevant provisions herein.

If Joining Online Sessions

Bandwidth

You need at least 0.5 Mbits/sec (500 Kbits/sec) upstream bandwidth to transmit data to the Regenesys server, and at least 1Mbits/sec download bandwidth to receive the videoconference stream. If you are not broadcasting a webcam, you will use less than 0.5Mbits/sec.

Check your bandwidth on speedtest.net. The results will give your actual bandwidth rather than the figure your internet service provider says it gives you in general, without accounting for throttling, or background activity on your computer such as background downloads, file sharing clients, and so on.

A wired connection is better than a wireless one. If your audio as broken or choppy, move closer to your wireless base station, try a different wireless network, or (best) connect directly to a wired connection.

Browser

Use Chrome, Firefox, or the newest version of Edge (based on Chromium). You don’t need to install any plugin or download any additional binary to share your screen.

Hardware

Use a headset so that your microphone does not pick up an echo from audio emanating from other devices.

Mobile connectivity

At the time of writing, you can view the presenter’s screen on mobile devices, but not share your mobile screen.

Internet Access And Security

Internet access is required to perform various online activities like downloading and uploading files; watching and listening to recorded presentations; participating in live video conferences and other activities, and for using various web-based tools. You will need access via one of the following:

  • High-speed broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps (LAN, fibre optics cable, T1/T2 or ADSL) is highly recommended.
  • Satellite and or cellular (3G/4G) access may also be used. Using free wifi in public areas, dial-up, or your smartphone 2G/3G/LTE connection may provide less than optimal connection speeds, resulting in slow navigation in Moodle webpages and disrupted collaborative sessions. Wifi will typically provide a better experience than 2G/3G/LTE.
  • Dial-up access will be significantly slower and may make it impossible to view videos. We do not recommend it for using Moodle.

L. Refund Of Prepaid Money

Refund of any deposits and/or advance payments are subject to Regenesys’ cancellation terms as set out above. Regenesys will only refund monies to the original source/issuer and reserves the right to refund monies in the same method in which they were received. Regenesys reserves the right to postpone or cancel a scheduled course. Registered applicants will be provided with an alternative course date or offered a refund of course fees.
